This role is designed for detail-driven professionals who can ensure every weld meets the highest industry standards. As a Quality Welding Inspector, you’ll play a crucial role in the integrity and safety of passenger rail systems. Your daily responsibilities will combine hands-on inspection with process optimization, documentation, and cross-department collaboration.
🔧 Key Responsibilities

Non-Destructive Testing: Execute visual, magnetic particle (MT), dye penetrant (PT), and potentially ultrasonic (UT) inspections.

Dimensional & Quality Inspections: Evaluate welded components, document discrepancies, and ensure compliance with specifications.

Documentation & Reporting: Use tools like Microsoft Word, Excel, BAAN, and CHELI to prepare inspection reports, QC sheets, and non-conformance reports.

Process Improvement: Analyze data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to improve weld quality and reduce defects.

Compliance Assurance: Adhere to regulatory standards such as AWS D1.1, D1.3, ASME IX, and more.
📚 Required Qualifications

Certified Welding Inspector (AWS CWI) or equivalent qualification
