🔪 What You’ll Do
As a government cook, your responsibilities will go far beyond preparing meals. You'll be an essential part of a system that prioritizes health, safety, and morale. Your key duties include:

Reviewing menus and preparing meals based on recipe specifications

Cutting, trimming, measuring, and portioning food accurately

Preparing hot entrees, salads, sauces, soups, and desserts

Using powered kitchen equipment safely (mixers, ovens, slicers, kettles, etc.)

Cleaning and maintaining all kitchen equipment and workstations

Following strict sanitation and food safety guidelines

Supporting dietary requirements for modified meals as needed

Sweeping, mopping, and ensuring a spotless food prep area
