🎯 Job Purpose

As a Manufacturing Equipment Operator, your mission is to safely operate production equipment, ensure product quality, and support the team in manufacturing life-saving medical technologies. You’ll perform visual inspections, complete SAP entries, assist with rework, and uphold BD’s high safety and quality standards.

🛠 Key Responsibilities

Operate production equipment safely and efficiently
Perform changeovers, line clearances, and cleaning tasks
Conduct quality checks using tools like calipers or 10x microscopes
Perform basic equipment troubleshooting and rework
Maintain compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
Clean and sanitize equipment and clean room areas
Achieve production rate and quality goals
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and assist with root cause analysis (BDA process)
Enter accurate data into SAP and MES systems
Participate in team blitz improvement projects

📘 Required Skills and Experience

High school diploma or GED required
(or 2+ years of manufacturing experience in lieu of education)
Experience with precision measuring instruments preferred
Prior manufacturing and MES system experience is a plus
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work independently or in a team setting
Proficiency in maintaining clean, safe, and orderly work areas

💪 Physical Requirements

Repetitive hand/arm movements
Lifting up to 50 lbs., pushing/pulling up to 75 lbs.
Standing 100% of the time, frequent walking
Tolerate extreme hot/cold environments for up to 20 minutes
Handle cleaning products, raw materials, and packaging
